In that time, I have been privileged to help people move through their fear, pain, confusion, and inertia. Many have made changes in their life which they once felt were not possible.
I have taught at many Bay Area graduate schools and training centers around the world. For more than 20 years I was a Core Faculty member in the Integral Counseling Psychology program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS).
I also sat on its Board of Directors for 10 years. I continue to be involved with hospice work, which reflects my interest in death and dying, grief, and bereavement. Knowing this territory, I am strengthened in my capacity to understand the many and varied losses people experience in their lives.
This approach, founded over 100 years ago, was one of the first to practically integrate spiritual realities with our daily challenges. Guided imagery, subpersonality work, and listening to the "call" of our Essential Selves are some of the Psychosynthesis practices which I utilize. I have also taught Psychosynthesis for over 30 years, both at the Director of the Psychosynthesis Training Program in San Francisco, and at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
Immersion in daily meditation, readings, on-going groups, and retreats and workshops with Thich Nhat Hanh, Jack Kornfield and others have helped me to live in myself with less reactivity, more compassion and with a greater capacity for being more present for my clients.
